The compendium under the title "Basic Concepts of Public International Law - Monism & Dualism" is a joint project of Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, Institute of International Politics and Economics and Institute of Comparative Law. These three institutions, all based in Belgrade, have managed to produce a collection of papers on one of the most controversial topics of public international law. However, much more important than conceptions itself, are arguments and views on this dichotomy. The editor have undertaken the task of presenting the public with such views, assembling in the process a respectable group of contributors, geographically widely ranged (over 54 authors from 28 countries), all of them acknowledged scholars with various fields of interest and points of view on international law. Editors are proud to include names such as Prof. Detlev Vagts, professor emeritus at the Harvard University Law School, among the contributors, but the list also features authors from Georgetown, LSE and many other prestigious universities, judges of International Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights, and many other important institutions as well. Most of the articles are written in English, but some of them are in Spanish, German, French, Italian and Serbian. buy book...
