Jessup Competition


The Department of International Law welcomes students with excellent oral and written knowledge of English, strong presentation skills and deep interest in public international law to take part in the 53th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. 
It is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from over 500 law schools in more than 80 countries. The competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice. Participating teams prepare oral and written pleading arguing both the applicant and respondent positions of the case. 
A team of two to five students will represent Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in National Jessup 2012 Competition. Students willing to join our team should submit to rudn.jessup2012@gmail.com not later than October, 9 : 
(1) Curriculum Vitae (in English) ; 
Please, attach the copies of Diplomas / Certificates, etc. demonstrating academic achievements and the level of knowledge of English language;
(2) A brief essay explaining why do you want to participate in the Jessup 2011 competition (in English) .
(max.3 pages, A4, Times New Roman 14-point, double line spacing).
