The 5th and 6th of December, 2012 Associate Professor of the Department of International Law, E. S Alisievich gave lectures on «Factors influencing vulnerability of individuals in the XXI century» and «Multiple dimensions of vulnerability and special protection» to the students of Master's programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) of the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC), located in Venice (Italy). The Department of International Law successfully cooperates with EIUC in relation to the Master's programme "International protection of human rights". Alisievichs’ lectures were accompanied by presentations and other illustrative materials. Discussion of the concept of vulnerability in the contemporary international human rights law, as well as key issues of ensuring and protecting the rights of vulnerable groups at universal and regional levels after the lecture continued in an interactive discussion, small group work and case studies.
