Objective and intended participants:
The Luiss Summer School aims at providing professionals, government officials, international civil servants, financial consultants, scholars and students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the most important and cutting-edge issues in the field of international trade.
Eligibility criteria:
The school is open to graduates in Law, International Relations, Political Science, European Studies, Economics and Statistics.
Curriculum:
The course will run from 4 July to 16 July 2011 and includes 60 hours of class time divided into two weekly sessions (6 hours per day, 5 days a week), including a Round-table discussion at the end of each week. All lectures are given in English.
Each weekly session will be taught by leading scholars and practitioners in the field, such as WTO professionals, EU Commission officers, functionaries of other institutions, as well as experts from the private sector.
Attendance at classes is compulsory. Each day of the course, organized in units around a specific topic, will encompass lectures, seminars and case studies.
Upon successful completion of the course and following a written examination, participants will be issued a certificate of attendance which qualifies them for the accreditation of 8 ECTS points. The participation to the Program will also grant the accreditation of 24 formative credits by the “Ordine degli Avvocati di Roma” (Laywers Council of Rome).
