Lecture series by Dr. Pietro Sullo

Dr. Pietro Sullo, European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) Programme Director will provide a series of lectures on the topic “International Rule of Law in post-conflict settings. Transitional Justice, Genocide and Human Rights”. The lectures will take place at the Inter-University human rights resource centre (room 354), March 16 (from 11.00 to 14.00) and 17 (from 10.00 to 13.00), 2015.
Dr. Sullo holds a Ph.D. from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, where he has defended a thesis entitled Genocide and Transitional Justice in Rwanda: Gacaca Courts and the Search for Truth, Justice and Reconciliation (currently in the pipeline for publication, Intersentia Publishers). His research areas include international law, international human rights law, international criminal law (with a particular emphasis on genocide) and transitional justice. More information…
Dr. Sullo’s lectures are organized within the framework of academic mobility development program for 2014-2015 within the master’s programme “International Protection of Human Rights” which is being organized by the Consortium of Universities (PFUR, MGIMO, RGGU, KPFU, PSU).
